Lindsey Schroeder | 22 | Recent Graduate from Elon University | Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Television Arts
I have always been fascinated with content creation. From a young age I embraced video production and would make my own commercials, trailers, and sketches, using nothing but my mother’s camcorder and desktop. The projects were not elaborate but the joy I had in making them are memorable to me. It is not the video content that I remember most, but the sheer joy in making them. I see video production as a means of expression and being able to turn my ideas into meaningful content. It is a creative outlet for me, and I will continue to dedicate my time and innovations to the art, for it is my passion. As a creative and passionate individual, I am determined to pursue a career in cinema, television, or video production. While obtaining my degree, I have had the opportunity to work on several projects through my coursework and extracurricular activities. I am constantly eager to continue and grow as a creator, and I am always looking for new opportunities to expand my horizons and enhance my skill set.
Producer of Elon After Hours
Elon Student Television
Since 2019 I have immersed myself in the Elon Student Television late-night talk show, Elon After Hours. In devoting my time and passion to the show, I have assumed a variety of positions including camera operator, sound operator, writing team and social media assistant. As a result of these efforts, in November 2021, I was nominated by prior leadership to serve as Producer for the show. Following a rigorous interview process with the Board of Directors of Elon Student Television, I was selected as the Producer for Season 10. My time as Producer has provided me with diverse experiences and opportunities that have furthered my growth in the field of production. I have been given the opportunity to improve my leadership and collaboration skills as well as hone my ability to efficiently take on any challenge that arises. I will continue to dedicate my time and efforts to the show in order to make it the most successful it can be.
